Actor Patrick Stewart, primarily known for his role as Luc Picard in Star Trek, is a medical marijuana patient. He suffers from arthritis and uses medical marijuana to alleviate the associated pain. He’s uses marijuana sprays, edibles and topicals.
Stewart divulged his daily medical marijuana use while voicing his support of the Oxford University’s Cannabis Research Plan, according to CNET. The 76-year-old actor has ortho-arthritis in his hands. He has been using medical marijuana for two years.
Stewart said, “As a result of this experience, I enthusiastically support the Oxford University Cannabis Research Plan. This is an important step forward for Britain in a field of research that has, for too long, been held back by prejudice, fear and ignorance.”
Stewart says that the medical marijuana spray he uses helps him regain use of his hands. It helps him regain strength to make fists. Edibles help him sleep.
